Life has a way of getting away from you and so here are all the happenings from March to June
Spring Break Adventures
We kicked off our Spring Break with staff retreat. We went to a SPA resort about an hour and a bit away from Prague. It was the same location as last year and it was a wonderful relaxing time getting to catch up with my co-workers, worship together and spend some time resting in the Lord.
Staff RetreatFollowing the staff retreat I headed off for a trip to Venice followed by our TeachBeyond Europe Region Conference in Portoroz, Slovenia.

Doing Life Together
This Spring we had our TeachBeyond Europe conference in Portoroz Slovenia. Over 400 members came together to encourage one another and do life together. I was encouraged to hear the different stories of what God is doing throughout Europe and the global vision to reach the nations.
I really enjoyed our meal times getting to meet many different members and hearing their stories. It was a time of encouragement, relaxation and connection.
End of the Year Fun
We wrapped up our school year with elementary trips to the jump park, the ropes park and Mirakulum. We had a lot of rain in the last weeks of school and we prayed hard for no rain on our Mirakulum trip as some of the activities are not possible in the rain. We teach the children that God in his wisdom gives us what we need and not always what we want. We had spots of sunshine on our Mirakulum day followed with moments where the heavens opened and the rains poured. I learned that day that in spite of the rain our kiddos can have a fabulous time and they had such great attitudes as they splashed around in the rain. Our prayers do not always get answered in the way we want but they are answered in the way we need.
Living the Art Life
Teaching Art was such a blessing this semester. I truly enjoyed getting to work with all the elementary kiddos and helping them discover their creativity and sparking imagination.
We are excited to welcome a new elementary art teacher for next Fall. I will admit I had a little moment of grieving to let go of another teaching position but I know the Lord has great plans for me next year. I have accepted the role of Coordinator of the elementary department for next year which includes the role of mentoring our new teachers for next year.
New Traditions
Our grade 5 teacher, Miss Rose started a new tradition by having our principal knight our 5th graders to 6th graders. Growing up in Germany she recalls a tradition in kindergarten of being tossed out of the classroom to signify moving on to grade 1. She wanted to introduce this tradition to our grade 5 class. SO with the help of a senior they tossed all the grade 5 students out of elementary and onto their way to secondary as 6th graders!
Gradulations!
To celebrate our seniors we made posters and shared about how we are grateful for our village by making grateful handprints
This was our theme for the year and it resonated with me greatly. I am so grateful for the amazing team God has given us this year. I finished out the year treating my elementary team to lunch.
We celebrated one our teammate who is expecting a little one at the end of August!

Summer Plans
This summer I will be staying in Prague. I will be doing a series of dog sitting gigs along with preparing to move in with a new flatmate! There is some sadness to this move as it means saying goodbye to one of my friends who has been here for 9 years as I will be moving into her place. The bonus is that their place is right next door to where I am living right now. I have enjoyed living with the family I live with and will miss them but they will be right next door for visits.
