Ever wonder where Nike got the idea for their brand? The greek goddess of victory - Nike
Bonus points if you can spot the swoosh symbol in the statue.
Apparently going to the washroom was a social outing where more than one type of business was being done.
One enjoyable blast from my past was meeting up with Dr. Char Bates. She was the interm president at Prarie Bible College during my time there and is now a part of our TeachBeyond family. It was one of those I know you from somewhere moments when I saw her and it is was almost like a celebrity sighting when I realised who she was.
The theatre in Ephesus that is mentioned in Acts 19:29-31
The people seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul’s travelling companions from Macedonia, and all of them rushed into the theatre together. 30 Paul wanted to appear before the crowd, but the disciples would not let him. 31 Even some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, sent him a message begging him not to venture into the theatre.
Last stop of a pottery place where they did handmade Turkish pottery and tiles. Beautiful work and they are quite the crowd pleasers. Made it hard not to buy something afterwards.
And so ends a memorable trip. It was a grand adventure I look forward to the next one!
